First Post, Followed By A Snow Day

Ah, the first blog post. A feeling of... liberation? But nothing's quite as liberating as waking up to a blaring newscaster on a groggy Friday morning and learning that it's a Snow Day. Two snow day's in one school year; Bloomberg's quite the generous man I guess! As I toppled back into bed for another five hours of rest, there was no doubt in my mind that I would soon build the most epic snowman ever created, with the help of two colleagues of course. After waking up to the smell of corn muffins and coffee (Thanks, mom!), I put on my "construction worker" boots (as my dear friend likes to call them) and trekked into the white monster that was somehow considered 'snow'. My God, the snow was knee-deep, freezing, and falling at the speed of light! But I have to admit, nothing compares to cascading in mounds of freshly fallen snow, sliding down an icy slide while giggling like a child, or feeling the sting of snow that was just thrown at your backside. After a long, rambunctious hour of frolicking like 3 year-olds, we decided to get down to business and build this snowman of epic proportions. The only thing that got in our way were the icicles plummeting rapidly from the tree's ahead, but much was accomplished in that time period. For once, the snowman did not appear as a mound, but an actual figurine! What an achievement =] . Hopefully, I'll post a picture of it later in the week. Well, that's all for today's post, and on a final note, a regular day can always become more than expected, usually when you least expect it. Does that make any sense? I hope so. =]
